Is there a minimum order?

No — we print anything from one garment to a full year group, and orders of 5+ get a discount. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

Can every garment have a different name on it?

Yes. DTF printing makes per-garment personalisation easy — names, nicknames, roles and numbers are all fine.

How fast can you turn an order around?

Once your proof is approved, printing plus free UK delivery is typically 2–4 working days. Leavers season is busy, so tell us your deadline up front and we'll confirm honestly before you commit.

Who Usually Places a School or Student Order

Education orders rarely come from a single person. They come from a chain, and knowing who is at each point makes the process smoother.

• Parents and PTAs gather names and money, and want clear instructions they can pass on.
• Teachers and form tutors often act as the central contact but have little time, so keep your messages short.
• Student representatives run society, sports and year-group orders, usually alongside a degree.
• Staff in administrative roles may need a written quote for a budget approval.

Whoever you are, name one person to speak for the group. Having one point of contact is the single biggest thing that keeps an order calm.

Choosing Between Garment Types

Not every group needs a hoodie. Here is how to think about the options:

• Hoodies suit leavers, colder months and keepsakes people wear for years.
• T-shirts suit sports days, fundraising events, trips and anything held in warm weather or lots of movement.
• Sweatshirts sit between the two and are a sensible choice for uniform-style items.
• Polo shirts suit staff, prefects, open-day volunteers and anyone who should look smart.
• Tote bags are practical for freshers' fairs, giveaways and carrying books.

For a trip or event, think about the weather and the activity. A printed t-shirt that is comfortable on a coach is more useful than a heavy layer no one wants to wear.

What Makes Student Artwork Print Well

Many groups design their own artwork, and that is encouraged. A few tips help it print cleanly:

• Make the key element big and the supporting text small but readable.
• Avoid very thin lines and tiny text, which can fill in on fabric.
• Keep the number of text lines low, particularly for children's garments.
• Send the largest, cleanest version of any logo you have.
• Use colours with strong contrast against the garment.

Permission, Branding and Respect

Education bodies have their own rules about crests, logos and names. If your design includes any institutional branding, ask for permission before ordering, and keep a copy of the reply. Your own group name, year, slogan and artwork are yours to use. When designs feature people, such as teachers, check they are happy to be included. A good rule is that nothing should appear on a garment that the wearer would be uncomfortable explaining to a parent or tutor.

A Planning Calendar for the Academic Year

Orders cluster at predictable moments, so plan around them:

• Autumn: freshers' events, new society kit, sports trials, Christmas jumper days and charity events.
• Spring: fundraising runs, trips, house competitions and departmental events.
• Summer: leavers, graduation, sports days, summer balls and end-of-year parties.

Peaks mean busy periods for everyone, so the best habit is to begin earlier than seems necessary. Give your deadline when you request a quote and order early.

Collecting Sizes and Names Without the Chaos

A single form is better than a dozen messages. Ask for exactly what you need: name as printed, size, garment, colour, and any special request. Then proofread the whole list before sending it to us. Where possible, have a second person check it too. If you are collecting from children, send the instructions to parents and let them confirm the details.

Include a clear closing date, and be prepared to enforce it. Late additions are the main reason group orders become stressful, and it is much simpler to organise a separate small order afterwards than to keep changing the first.

Group Orders and Fair Pricing Within the Group

When one organiser pays and others reimburse, agree in advance how to split the cost. Different items cost different amounts, so ask for a breakdown and share it. Mistakes to Avoid

• Starting with the artwork and discussing numbers last.
• Letting design decisions drag on until it is too late to proof properly.
• Forgetting students with accessibility needs or sensory sensitivities, who may need softer fabric choices.
• Leaving out part-time or distance-learning members.
• Assuming that the same design will work on a child's hoodie and an adult's. Ask us to adapt it.
