Ladies Christmas T-Shirts: Personalised Printed Tops for Women
Most Christmas tops sold in shops are made for nobody in particular: the same slogan, the same cartoon, the same colours, printed in bulk months ago. A personalised ladies' Christmas T-shirt is different because it is made for one person, one group or one occasion. It can carry a name, a joke only your friends will understand, a family surname, or a small festive motif placed exactly where you want it. FabricForge prints these from a single item, in full colour, and posts them to your address with DPD, Royal Mail, Parcelforce or our relay parcel service.

What people actually order for Christmas
Nobody wakes up wanting a generic T-shirt, so the useful question is what the top is for. Looking at the kinds of requests that come in around the festive season, they fall into a handful of groups, and the right design differs for each one.
A gift for a mum, sister, friend or partner
This is the order where the wrapped parcel matters most. The design should feel like it was chosen for her, so it works best when it refers to something real: a nickname, an in-joke, a hobby, a pet's name, or the year. A short line in clean lettering often looks better than a crowded picture, because a gift top gets worn and washed many times, and a simple design ages well.
Matching tops for a girls' night out or Christmas party
Groups of friends often want the same slogan on every top, sometimes with a different name or number on the back. The fun is in the details: a squad name on the front, a role on the back such as "Head Elf" or "Designated Driver", and a date or a venue in small print. If the group is large, send us the list of names and sizes in one go and we will lay it out for you in the mockup.
Work parties and team events
Office parties are the most common reason for a group order. A small logo on the chest with a festive line on the back keeps the top wearable after the event. For larger teams the page on staff Christmas T-shirts and hoodies goes through the details of running a workplace order.
Family photographs
A family set with matching tops photographs well, and ladies' tops can be part of a coordinated outfit with the rest of the family. See matching family Christmas outfits for how to plan sizes across generations.
Pregnancy, new mums and milestone Christmases
A first Christmas as a mum, or a Christmas with a bump, is often marked with a top that says so. For ideas on that theme, see our page on first Christmas T-shirts.
Choosing a design that suits a ladies' top
The same artwork can look completely different depending on where it sits and how big it is. Here are the layout choices that matter most, based on what tends to look good in practice.
- Centre chest, medium size. The classic. It reads clearly from across a room and suits almost every body shape and every size.
- Small left-chest design. Subtle and tidy. Ideal for a name, a small star, a holly sprig or a tiny reindeer. Good for work events.
- Large front print. Best for bold slogans or a single large illustration. Works well in an oversized fit.
- Back print. Used for names, roles, group slogans and years. Often combined with a small front design.
- Sleeve text. A short word or the year down one sleeve is an unusual detail that people notice.
If your design has fine detail such as thin outlines or tiny text, keep it large enough to read at arm's length. The print is full colour and handles gradients, but very small text can blur when a shirt is worn.
Colours, fits and sizes
We offer 14 garment colours. For Christmas the usual starting points are white, black, red, forest green and a soft neutral, but the choice depends on the artwork. Light artwork needs a dark garment so it stands out, and dark artwork needs a light garment. If your design uses both light and dark elements, send it to us and we will show you how it looks on two or three colours in the mockup before you commit.
Adult sizes run from S to 5XL, and an oversized fit is available from S to 3XL. Oversized is popular for a relaxed, comfortable look and suits a larger front print. If you are buying as a gift and are unsure of the size, a common approach is to check a top she already wears, and to order one size up rather than down, since a slightly roomy top is easier to live with than a tight one. Children's sizes start at age 3 and run to 16, which is useful when you want mother-and-daughter matching tops.
Ideas for the text itself
Writing a line that works is harder than it looks. Short phrases beat long ones, and the best lines are specific. Here are some styles that people tend to enjoy, without us pretending there is a single right answer.
- The name and the year, in a simple festive type. Safe, personal, easy to read.
- A role for each person in a group, such as "Chief Gift Wrapper" or "Mulled Wine Supervisor".
- A family surname with "Christmas" and the year, for a household set.
- A short joke about the day itself: the lie-in, the leftovers, the quiz nobody wins.
- A pet's name beside the owner's, if the dog or cat is part of the family photo.
Whatever you choose, check the spelling carefully. We print exactly what is in the file you send, so a typo in the artwork is a typo on the shirt. Ask someone else to read it aloud before you approve the mockup.
How to order
- Message us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone with the idea, the quantity and the date you need the tops by.
- Send your artwork as a PNG or PDF. We can resize it and adjust the layout, but we do not design from scratch.
- We confirm the details, give you a quote and take payment before we start on the mockup.
- We send a mockup of how the finished top will look, and you can ask for up to five rounds of changes.
- Once you approve it we print and dispatch. Next-day UK delivery is possible after the mockup is approved, depending on the time of day you approve it.
Timing for December
December is the busiest part of the printing year, and the usual cause of a late order is not the print but the preparation: the artwork was not final, the sizes had not been collected, or the approval came late. Start early, send everything in one message, and approve the mockup promptly. Our page on Christmas printing deadlines explains how to work back from the date you need your tops.
Keeping the print looking good
A personalised top is worth looking after. Turn it inside out before washing, use a cool cycle, and avoid tumble drying on high heat. Do not iron directly over the print. These steps keep the colours bright for far longer, and the care guide for printed clothing covers them in more detail.
More than one item
If you are ordering a top for yourself and gifts for others, consider combining them. A matching tote bag works well as a wrapped present, and a hoodie in the same design makes a good gift for someone who feels the cold. Our custom tote bags page has more on bags, and ordering everything together means one quote, one mockup and one parcel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order just one ladies' Christmas T-shirt?
Yes. There is no minimum order, so a single personalised top is fine, as is a set for a group.
Can you print a name on the back and a design on the front?
Yes. Front, back and sleeve placements can be combined, and we will show the layout in the mockup before printing.
What file should I send?
A PNG with a transparent background or a PDF works best. We can adjust the size and position, but we do not design from scratch.
Can I get matching tops for a mother and daughter?
Yes. Children's sizes run from 3 to 16, and adult sizes from S to 5XL, so both can be in one order.
How is it delivered?
We post with DPD, Royal Mail, Parcelforce or our relay parcel service, and next-day delivery within the UK is possible after your mockup is approved.
