How DTF printing actually works

DTF (direct-to-film) is a digital process: your design is printed onto a special film with a white underbase, coated with an adhesive powder, then heat-pressed onto the garment. Because it's digital, there's no screen setup, no plate cost, and no per-colour charge — a five-colour design costs exactly the same to print as a single colour. That's the whole reason we can offer no minimum order: the cost structure that forces other printers into bulk minimums simply doesn't apply to DTF. For the full technical comparison against screen printing and DTG, see our printing methods guide.

Choosing garment, size and colour

  • Garment weight: t-shirts run lighter for everyday wear and warm-weather events; hoodies (280gsm brushed-back fleece) suit colder months, leavers hoodies and team kit.
  • Sizing: kids age 3–16, adults S–5XL, mixable freely within one order — handy for family, school or team orders spanning different ages and builds.
  • Colour: 14 garment colours to choose from, and because DTF prints white ink underneath, your design stays vivid on dark garments too, not just light ones.
  • Print placement: front, back, sleeve or a combination — all included at no extra setup cost.
  • How many: no minimum, discounts from 5+ items. Order one for yourself or five hundred for an event; the process is identical.

How it works

  1. Send us your design — WhatsApp or email your artwork, or just describe the idea and we'll set it up. No design skills needed.
  2. Approve your proof — we send a visual mock-up before anything is printed, revised until you're happy.
  3. We print and deliver — in-house DTF printing, free 2–4 day UK delivery, or same-day quotes in London.

Need it fast?

Tell us your deadline as early as you can and we'll be honest about what's realistic — a relaxed 2–3 week run gives the smoothest process, but closer to the date is often still possible. Same-day delivery quotes are available across London for genuine last-minute needs, whether that's a leavers hoodie order confirmed late or a team kit deadline that's crept up.

One UK-wide service, wherever you're based

Whether you're in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast or somewhere in between, every order gets the same process: free design help, a proof before anything prints, and delivery via Evri anywhere in the UK — or collect in person from Enfield EN3 or East London E14 if you're local.

Who we print for

Small businesses and trades ordering branded workwear; schools and universities ordering leavers hoodies and society and school kit; hen parties, stag dos and wedding parties; sports teams and clubs; charity and fundraising events; festival crews and event organisers; clinics and salons ordering uniforms and scrubs; and individuals ordering personalised gifts and one-off designs. If it's fabric, we can probably print it — including memorial and funeral clothing, pet accessories and personalised Christmas gifts.

No design? No problem

Not sure how to turn your idea into artwork? Send a description, a rough sketch, or a reference photo — we'll set it up and send a proof before anything prints. See AI and custom printing: what's actually changed for an honest look at what design tools can and can't do for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No — we print from a single item with no minimum or maximum, and offer discounts on orders of 5+ items.

How long does delivery take?

Standard UK delivery is free and takes 2–4 working days. In London we can quote same-day delivery — WhatsApp us for availability.

What print method do you use?

We use DTF (direct-to-film) printing: vibrant, durable full-colour prints that work on any garment colour and fabric type. For a comparison with screen printing and DTG, see our printing methods guide.

Can you print my logo for my business or team?

Yes — workwear, uniforms, polos, hi-vis and scrubs are our bread and butter. Send your logo on WhatsApp and we'll set up a proof.

What file formats do you accept?

PNG with a transparent background is ideal; we also accept JPG, PDF, AI and SVG. If your file isn't print-ready, we'll help prepare it.

Do you offer bulk or trade pricing?

Yes — orders of 5+ items get a discount, and trade customers can buy DTF gang sheets printed in-house in Enfield.

Can every garment in one order be different — different names, sizes, colours?

Yes. Because each garment is printed individually, mixing sizes, colours and even personalised names within a single order costs no more than a uniform batch.

Do you offer same-day delivery?

In some cases, yes, depending on your location and how early in the day you get in touch. Message us your deadline and we'll always try to help, though we can't guarantee same-day for every order.
