Branded Tablecloths and Printed Table Covers

A branded tablecloth turns a plain trestle table into a shop front. At an exhibition, a market, a careers fair or a reception desk, it is often the first thing people see, and it tells them who you are before anyone has said a word. FabricForge prints branded tablecloths, printed table covers and custom tablecloths with your logo for businesses, charities, schools, clubs and market traders across the UK. Tell us your table size and send your logo, approve a proof, and your tablecloth is produced at the FabricForge unit nearest to you and delivered ready for the event.

Why a printed tablecloth earns its keep

At most events, every exhibitor is given the same thing: a bare table and a few square metres of space. The businesses that get noticed are the ones that dress that space well. A printed tablecloth is one of the cheapest ways to do it, and it works hard:

  • It makes you visible from across the room. A large logo on the front panel is readable from a distance, long before people reach your stand.
  • It looks professional. A fitted, branded cover hides scuffed table legs, boxes and cables, and makes a small business look established.
  • It is reusable. One good tablecloth goes to every show, fair and market for years, so the cost per event keeps falling.
  • It packs small. Unlike a pop-up banner, it folds into a bag and travels in the car boot or on the train.
  • It works in photos. Every picture taken of your stand, and every social post from the event, carries your branding.

Advertisers pay a premium to reach people searching for branded tablecloths and table covers, which tells you how valuable this kind of event presence is to the businesses that use it.

Branded tablecloth, table cover, logo tablecloth: what is the difference?

People search for the same product in different ways. Branded tablecloths, logo tablecloths, branded table cloths, printed table covers, branded table covers and table covers with logo all describe a cloth that covers a table and carries your branding. Custom tablecloths and personalised tablecloths also cover one-off designs for weddings, parties and home use. Exhibition table covers and trade show table covers are the same product built for event halls. A custom printed tablecloth or printed table cloth for a one-off occasion is ordered in exactly the same way. The real decision is the style of cover, explained below.

Tablecloth styles

The right style depends on how you will use it and how polished it needs to look. Tell us which you are considering and we will confirm the options and table sizes available for your order.

  • Fitted tablecloths. Tailored to the exact size of the table, with neat corners and sides that drop to the floor. The most polished look for exhibitions and corporate events.
  • Throw tablecloths. A loose cloth draped over the table, falling to the floor on the front and sides. Quick to put up, fits a range of table sizes, and often left open at the back so you can store boxes underneath.
  • Stretch tablecloths. A close-fitting elasticated cover that hugs the table and legs. Very modern and wrinkle-free, popular at tech and fitness events.
  • Table runners. A printed strip that runs across a plain cloth. An economical way to add branding, and easy to swap for different campaigns.
  • Personalised tablecloths for occasions. Printed designs for weddings, birthdays, Christmas tables and family events.

Common table sizes

Most events in the UK use standard folding trestle tables, typically around 4ft or 6ft long. Before you order, check the exhibitor manual or ask the organiser what table you will be given, or measure your own table: length, width and height from the floor. Tell us those three measurements and we will make sure the cover fits properly, with the print centred on the front panel where people will see it.

Print area and design

Printed tablecloths can carry a single logo on the front panel, logos on the front and sides, or a full-colour design across the whole cloth. A few principles help:

  • The front panel matters most. That is what visitors see as they walk up. Keep your logo and key message there, at a height visible above other people's heads in a busy hall.
  • Keep the message short. Logo, what you do in a few words, and your web address. People walk past at speed.
  • Think about the top. The table top will be covered with leaflets, products and laptops, so do not put important text there.
  • Match your other print. Use the same colours as your banners, flags and stationery so the whole stand looks like one brand.
  • Send vector artwork. AI, EPS, PDF or SVG files give the sharpest result at large sizes. A logo copied from a website will usually be too small to print well.

Our artwork preparation guide covers file types, and you will see a proof before anything is printed.

Fire safety at exhibitions

Many UK exhibition venues and event organisers require stand materials, including table coverings, to be flame retardant, and some ask exhibitors to show a certificate. Rules vary by venue, so always check your exhibitor manual. If your event requires flame-retardant fabric, tell us when you request your quote and we will confirm the suitable options and paperwork available for your order. It is far better to sort this before the show than to be asked to remove a cloth on the morning of the event.

Who orders branded tablecloths

  • Exhibitors and trade show teams at conferences, expos and industry shows.
  • Market traders and Christmas market stalls who need a stall to stand out. See our Christmas market stall branding guide.
  • Universities, colleges and schools for open days, freshers' fairs and careers events.
  • Recruiters and employers at graduate fairs and job events.
  • Charities at fundraising stalls, community days and awareness events.
  • Sports clubs and societies at registration days and club fairs.
  • Estate agents, banks and financial advisers running pop-up stands in shopping centres.
  • Festival and event vendors who want a branded food or merchandise counter. Our festival and event printing page has matching crew wear.
  • Families and couples ordering a personalised tablecloth for a wedding, a milestone party or Christmas dinner.

Complete your stand

A tablecloth is the base of a good stand, and it works best alongside other branded pieces. Common additions are promotional pens for visitors to take away, branded mugs as a prize or gift for qualified leads, leaflets and business cards on the table top, banners and large-format signage behind you, and branded T-shirts or hoodies for the people staffing the stand. Our flags, banners and display stands guide explains how the pieces work together. Put everything on one quote and the colours will match across every item.

Caring for a printed tablecloth

A well-looked-after tablecloth lasts for many events. Fold it loosely along the same lines each time, or roll it, to avoid hard creases across the logo. Store it dry in a bag between events. If it needs cleaning, follow the care instructions we supply with your order, and avoid harsh bleach or very hot washes, which can dull the print. A quick steam before the show will remove travel creases.

Branded tablecloth questions

What size tablecloth do I need?

Measure the table length, width and height, or check the exhibitor manual. Most UK events use folding trestle tables of around 4ft or 6ft. Send us the measurements and we will make sure it fits.

Can you print my logo in full colour?

Yes. Logos and designs are printed in full colour, from a single logo on the front panel to an all-over design.

Do you offer flame-retardant tablecloths for exhibitions?

Many venues require them. Tell us if your event does and we will confirm suitable fabric and the paperwork available for your order.

What is the difference between a fitted and a throw tablecloth?

A fitted cloth is tailored to the table with neat corners. A throw is a looser drape that fits a range of tables and can be left open at the back for storage.

Can I order a personalised tablecloth for a wedding or party?

Yes. Personalised tablecloths with names, dates or designs are welcome alongside business orders.

Can you deliver to an exhibition venue?

Many venues have their own rules for receiving deliveries, so most customers have the tablecloth sent to their office first. If your organiser accepts deliveries, give us the full venue delivery details.
