We'll tell you honestly whether it's realistic rather than promising something we can't deliver. Message us as early as possible with your requirements and we'll confirm straight away.
What helps a same-day request succeed
- Get in touch early. Morning requests have far more room than an afternoon message for the same evening.
- Have your design ready. A finished file speeds up the proof stage significantly compared to starting from a rough idea.
- Keep quantity realistic. A handful of shirts is a much easier same-day fit than a large run.

A pre-flight checklist for any urgent order
When time is short, the most useful thing you can do is remove decisions from the conversation. Every question that has to be asked and answered by message adds a pause. Prepare the following before you write to us, and your request can be assessed in one reading.
- The finished design, or the clearest reference you have, saved as a file and not as a screenshot of a screenshot.
- The exact wording of any names or text, typed out so nothing has to be copied from an image.
- Quantity, with a split of sizes for each person.
- Garment type and colour, with a second choice in case the first is unavailable.
- The date and the occasion, and what you would do if the shirts were not ready for it.
- Where you are, and whether collection or courier is realistic for you.
Giving us the real date is better than saying "as soon as possible". It lets us tell you plainly whether the job is realistic, and we will not make a promise about timing that the order cannot support.
Decisions that make a rushed job riskier
Short deadlines make some choices more dangerous than they would be on a relaxed order.
- Complex artwork with many small elements gives more to check on the proof, and a mistake costs the whole job.
- A large number of different names, each needing separate checking.
- A garment colour that is hard to source at short notice. Be ready to accept a close alternative.
- A last-minute change of mind after the proof has been approved.
- Very specific brand colours, because a quick turn leaves little room to compare.
If you can simplify any of these, do. A clean one-colour wording on a plain garment is easier to confirm and easier to check than an ornate full-colour layout.
The proof is still your safeguard
Urgency is when people most want to skip reading the proof. Resist that. A typo printed on a garment cannot be removed. Read the proof from top to bottom, then ask somebody who has not seen the design to read it cold. Check dates, spellings, and the order of names. If you are rushing for an event, a thirty-second second opinion beats a wasted shirt.
Think about the day itself
Many urgent requests are for an event: a match, a leaving party, a stag weekend, a charity run, a work launch. Build your plan backwards from the moment the shirts need to be on people.
1. Work out when people will arrive and who will be handing out the shirts.
2. Allow time for the shirts to be collected or received, and for anything to be checked.
3. Leave a gap for the unexpected: wrong size, a late joiner, a missing name.
4. Only then fit the print request around that plan.
Starting from the event and counting backwards shows you quickly whether a request is sensible or whether you should look at a simpler plan, such as printing fewer shirts first and the rest later.
Collection from London: practical notes
Our collection points are in Enfield EN3 and East London E14. Collection is arranged by agreement after you have been in touch, since there are no walk-in visits. When you are asked for a collection time, think about travel: how long will the journey take on the day, which line or road will you use, and who is going? If you are sending a friend or colleague, tell them the name on the order, and make sure they have the contact details so they can reach you or us if there is a problem on the day.
For a courier option, ask us what is sensible for your postcode. Do not assume that a courier will fit your timing just because a distance looks short in London. Traffic, parcel pick-up times and building access all play a part, and that is why we discuss each job rather than quoting a rule.
Alternatives when the deadline is too tight
Sometimes the honest answer to a rushed request is that the deadline is too close for printed shirts. That does not mean you have to give up on the event. Consider these options.
- Print only the key people's shirts first, such as the guest of honour, organisers or team captain.
- Choose a simpler design that you can approve quickly.
- Use a printed item that is easier to confirm, such as a tote bag or a small accessory, and plan the shirts for later.
- Move the shirt part of the plan to a later stage of the event, such as a second-day photo, so the main occasion is not at risk.
None of these is as good as simply ordering early, but they can rescue an occasion.
Order early next time
The easiest way to avoid a stressful job is to place the order well before the date. What information is the single most useful to send first?
The date by which you need the shirts, followed by the quantity. Everything else can follow, but those two facts decide whether a job is workable. After that, a finished design file makes the biggest difference to how quickly the process can move.
Should I choose a rare garment colour for an urgent job?
It is better to pick a common colour and have a second choice in mind. Popular shades are easier to source at short notice. Tell us if the colour is essential, such as a team colour, and we will say honestly whether it is realistic.
Can I change my design after approving the proof?
Avoid it. Once the proof is approved, the job moves on. A late change can mean starting again, which is the opposite of what you need under time pressure. Make sure everyone with a say has seen the proof before you approve it.
What if I only decide the day before?
Message us with the date, quantity and design, and we will reply personally and tell you what is realistic. If it is not, we will say so and talk through the alternatives. Please do not wait to see if the problem solves itself.
