Magnetic vehicle signs and cut vinyl lettering — professional branding for vans and cars that you apply yourself. Printed and supplied UK-wide from Enfield, North London. Straight up: we supply the graphics; we don't offer full vehicle wrapping or a fitting service.

What We Supply

  • Magnetic vehicle signs — full-colour printed magnetics that go on and come off in seconds. Perfect for tradespeople, dual-use vehicles and leased vans where permanent graphics aren't an option
  • Cut vinyl lettering & decals — pre-spaced company names, numbers and logos on application tape, ready for careful self-application

Are Magnetic Vehicle Signs Legal in the UK?

Yes — fully legal, provided they don't obscure your windows or number plates. On insurance: business use of a vehicle and permanent modifications (like wraps or signwriting) can affect a policy, while removable magnetic signs are often not treated as a declarable modification — but policies differ, so make sure your policy covers business use and check with your insurer if in doubt. General guidance, not insurance or legal advice.

Do Magnetic Signs Damage Paint? An Honest Answer

Used correctly on sound paint, no — there's no adhesive. Damage comes from misuse: grit trapped underneath abrades as the panel flexes; water left sitting under a sign can mark older finishes; and a sign left baking on for months can affect the paint beneath. Best practice: apply only to a clean, dry, smooth flat steel panel; remove and clean behind the sign weekly (more often in wet or salty conditions); store flat, never rolled; don't apply to freshly painted (allow ~90 days) or freshly waxed panels. One catch worth knowing: magnets only stick to steel — many modern vehicles use aluminium or plastic panels and bumpers, so test with a fridge magnet before ordering.

How to Apply Cut Vinyl Lettering Yourself

  1. Work out of wind and cold — ideally 15–20°C+; vinyl won't bond well cold
  2. Clean the panel thoroughly: soap and water, then isopropyl alcohol to strip wax and grease
  3. Position with masking-tape guides and a centre mark; measure it level
  4. Optionally mist the panel lightly with application fluid (a few drops of washing-up liquid in water) so you can reposition
  5. Squeegee firmly from the centre outwards
  6. Wait 30+ minutes, then peel the application tape back slowly at a sharp angle, close to the surface
  7. Prick tiny bubbles with a pin and smooth; full adhesion builds over 24–48 hours

Magnetics or Vinyl?

Magnetics: instant on/off, ideal for leased or dual-use vehicles, weekly cleaning routine required. Cut vinyl: semi-permanent, sharper and more professional-looking, survives car washes, but removal takes patience. Many tradespeople run vinyl on the van doors and magnetics on the family car — tell us your situation and we'll advise honestly.

Artwork

Vector logo (AI/EPS/PDF/SVG) preferred for cut vinyl — vinyl is cut, not printed, so text and shapes must be clean paths. For printed magnetics, 300 DPI at size or vector. High contrast reads best at road distance: think three seconds at a junction.

FAQs

Are magnetic car signs legal? Yes — keep windows and plates clear, and make sure your insurance covers business use.

Do they damage paint? Not used correctly — clean behind them weekly and never trap grit.

Will magnets stick to my van? Only steel panels — test with a fridge magnet first; aluminium and plastic panels won't hold.

How do I apply vinyl lettering? Clean, position, squeegee from centre, peel slowly — full steps above.

Do you fit graphics or do full wraps? No — we supply print-ready magnetics and cut vinyl for self-application. For a full wrap you need a specialist fitter.

What size magnetics should I get? Send us a photo of your door panel with rough measurements and we'll recommend.
