"3×3" Doesn't Mean 3 Metres — Pop-Up Sizing Explained
Pop-up stands are sized by frame cubes, not metres. A "3×3" is 3 cubes high × 3 cubes wide — roughly 2.5–2.7m wide × ~2.2m high, which is exactly what fits a standard 3m shell scheme. This catches out most first-time exhibitors, so here's the quick guide:
| Size (cubes) | Approx. assembled width | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| 3×2 | ~1.9–2.0m | Narrow spaces, corners |
| 3×3 | ~2.5–2.7m | Standard 3m shell scheme — the most popular |
| 3×4 | ~3.0–3.4m | Wider 3m+ stands |
Curved frames project further into your stand and create an enclosed, feature backdrop; straight frames sit flatter against the wall and use less floor depth.
How the Graphics Attach
Magnetic bars clip into the frame channels and the laminated panels snap onto the bars, aligning edge to edge. One tip saves every setup: hang the first panel carefully — if it's a fraction off, the drift compounds across the wall and the last panel won't sit right. Start centre, work outwards, stand back and check after each panel.
Pop-Up or Tension Fabric?
Pop-up is the fastest to build and the lower entry cost; its trade-offs are visible panel seams, some reflection from laminated panels under bright lights, and a heavier case. If you exhibit frequently and want a seamless matte wall that's far lighter to carry, compare our Fabric Display — we'll give you an honest steer either way.
Artwork
Print-ready PDF at full size, 3mm bleed; panel splits are handled in production. Backdrops are read from metres away, so 100–150 DPI at full size is ample — put headline messaging at eye level (roughly the middle-upper band) and avoid critical text across panel joins.
