What Are Bollard Covers Used For?
Also known as bollard sleeves, pillar covers or "Toblerone" signs, they're one of the most space-efficient outdoor advertising formats going — they use street furniture you already have. Common uses: retail and supermarket car parks (promotions, trolley-point messaging), shopping centres and petrol stations (offers and directions), events and festivals (wayfinding, sponsor branding, queue guidance), venues and car parks (bay and zone marking, safety messaging). Because they sit at bonnet height in car parks, drivers see them exactly where floor-level signs get missed.
Shapes & Fit
Covers come in triangular (three faces), square (four faces) and hexagonal profiles, machine-creased to fold flat and lock together with tabs — assembly takes seconds. Most standard UK bollards are around 170mm in diameter and 750–1200mm tall; measure your bollard's diameter and height and we'll match a standard size or quote a bespoke fit.
How Long Do They Last Outside?
As a fluted polypropylene product, treat bollard covers as medium-term outdoor signage: UV-printed graphics typically stay sharp for around 2–3 years depending on sun exposure, and covers used only for events (then folded flat and stored) last far longer. For permanent bollard branding, ask us about rigid alternatives.
Artwork
Print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed; we'll supply a template per shape so each face lays out correctly. Bold, high-contrast messaging reads best — a bollard face is read in a second or two at walking or parking speed. Keep text clear of the fold creases.
