Napkin Sizes and Ply, Explained
Ply is the number of tissue layers — more ply means a thicker, softer, more absorbent napkin. Size follows the occasion: smaller cocktail/beverage napkins for drinks and canapés; larger dinner napkins for a full meal. Tell us whether they're for drinks, buffet or dinner service and we'll confirm the right size and ply for the job.
Design Guidance
Napkin tissue is absorbent and textured, so bold, simple, high-contrast designs print best — a monogram, two names and a date, or a clean logo. Fine hairlines and subtle gradients can wick and soften, and we'll flag anything that won't reproduce well before printing. Keep key text away from the folded edges. One colour note: printed gold is a flat printed colour, not a metallic foil — it won't shine like foil, so tell us if you were expecting a metallic look.
